The Skins have certainly turned around their season.  After staring 0-3 in the face they bounced back and now sit ahead of the Giants in the division at 2-2 by virtue of the head to head.  The defense is still an issue against the run but Kirk Cousins has seemingly turned it around.  Time will tell if he can keep it going.  Hard to believe we are already past the quarter mark of the NFL season.  The Ravens will be a tough test for the visiting Redskins.  The Ravens defense isn’t quite what it was a few years back but they still have a knack for finding the football and forcing turnovers.  The Skins could be looking ahead with a big time division show down with the Eagles looming in week 6.  Time will tell if there are any phantom fumble recoveries.  A Skins loss would really put them behind the 8 ball in the East.

Redskins Transactions:

10/03/2016 Signed CB Robertson Daniel to the practice squad and released CB Lloyd Carrington from the practice squad.
09/28/2016 Signed CB Lloyd Carrington to the practice squad.

Bengals @ Cowboys CBS 4:25 PM

The Cowboys are impressive.  Dak Prescott along with rookie running mate Ezekiel Elliott have led Dallas to a 3-1 record.  I understand their wins haven’t come across anyone with a winning record but they didn’t create the schedule.  This will be the toughest game to date in my opinion.  The Bengals present some match-ups that could pose a problem for the Cowboys defense.  Mainly, who will be guarding AJ Green?  The key to this game will be 3rd down.  If Dallas can get off the field on 3rd down and give their defense a rest while pounding the rock they will have a great shot.  This is the start of a tough stretch of games for the Cowboys.  Following this game is a date with the Green Bay Packers.  Packers aren’t quite what they were a few years ago but Lambeau is still Lambeau.

Cowboys Transactions:

Lawrence, Demarcus DE Suspension Lifted 10/3
Cleary, Emmett T Signed (from Giants) 9/28
Tapper, Charles DE Placed on IR – back 9/28
DeBord, Clay T Pract. Squad Add (from Patriots) 9/28
McCain, Chris DE Pract. Squad Del 9/28

Giants @ Packers 8:30 NBC SNF

The Giants are in a bad spot.  With all the parity in the league it’s hard to enough to win on the road and at home for that matter if you consistently beat yourselves.  The Giants are their own worst enemy.  Penalties and self inflicted mistakes have waisted a 2-0 start.  Per Pat Kirwan their have been 22 unsportsmanlike conduct penalties in the league through 4 games.  The Giants by my count have 4 or 5 of those including multiple fouls by ODB and center Weston Richburg.  In all likely hood they’ll be 2-3 after losing to the packers.  ODB has become a distraction.  It’s all anyone is talking about.  It would be one thing if he was barking on the sidelines and playing well but that’s not the case.  Last week vs the Vikings he graded out as the 2nd worst WR for the week with a 42.5 overall grade per PFF.  The Giants have to run the ball better.  They are becoming one dimensional with injuries of Shane Vereen and Rashad Jennings.  Paul Perkins made a few plays last week but he’s a 5th round rookie.

Giants Transactions:

10/04/2016 LB Deontae Skinner – Practice Squad contract terminated
10/04/2016 QB Logan Thomas – Signed to Practice Squad
