This Week in Gambling (Week 3)

Rams at Bucs (-5.5)

Tampa Bay is not as bad as they showed last week when the Cards took them apart.  This is the Bucs home opener as the Rams have to make the cross country trip after getting by the Seahawks in an offensive thriller.  The Rams defense is solid across the board, but I like Jameis Winston to bounce back this week at home.  Case Keenum and the Greatest Show on Turf have yet to score a touchdown through eight whole quarters.  The 5.5 point line is too enticing to pass up with ineptitude of the Rams offense.

Cards at Bills (+4)

I actually like the Bills outright in this game as home underdogs coming off an extended rest from playing Week 2 on Thursday night.  They are a team in turmoil after the firing of offensive coordinator Greg Roman even though they hung 31 on the Jets.  All that being said the Cards have to travel cross country for an early kickoff on the road.  The Bills questionable secondary will be tested all game, but I like Buffalo to keep it at least within a field goal to cover the spread.

Broncos at Bengals (-3)

Cincinnati split their first two games on the road against two AFC playoff contenders, the Jets and Steelers.  Cincy covered versus the Jets while they failed to against the Steelers.  This will be the first road start for Broncos quarterback Trevor Siemian after defeating the Panthers and Colts at home.  The Bengals defense was able to hold Ben Roethlisberger in check last week despite losing.  I like Andy Dalton to make enough plays against the vaunted Denver defense to cover at home.

Georgia (+7) at Ole Miss

The Bulldogs have beaten the Rebels in ten straight meetings completely owning the matchup for the past two decades.  Ole Miss is under 500 on the season after blowing a huge lead to Alabama as they did in the season opener to Florida State.  Georgia is coming off a comeback road win against Missouri with freshman quarterback Jacob Eason.  It is interesting the Bulldogs are getting 7 points in this spot, but to me it’s too hard to pass up.  Ole Miss is an up and down team that can’t be trusted.

Season Record: 4-4
