What a difference a week makes. Over the last week this division has been shuffled around a bit. The Eagles have been in the basement for the first quarter but now find themselves on top after their win against the Giants. Slowly but surely some of the injured players through out this division are making their way back. Dez Bryant is doing some light work today at Cowboys practice. Will Beaty has returned for the Giants and there are reports that Kendricks and El Bravo Alonso have returned to practice for the Eagles.
NFC East Standings

Redskins 2-4 (DIV 1-1)
Tampa Bay at Washington – Fed Ex Field 1:00 FOX
The skins are coming off of an ugly loss to the Jets. A game in which Cousins threw 2 more interceptions. The Redskins are in a tough spot at 2-4 and have suffered some big injuries. DJax suffered a set back with his hamstring and it doesn’t look like DeAngelo Hall will return this week. Luckily for them they are facing a Buccaneers team with Lovie Smith at the helm. If you listen to the podcast you know my feelings on Lovie.
I expect the Redskins to win this game and get to 3-4. The Skins have played the least amount of division games up to this point. Can they get healthy in time to face their division counterparts? It doesn’t matter if Cousins can’t hold protect the ball. Much of what Sam Bradford is dealing with now.
Dallas at New York Giants – Metlife Stadium 4:25 FOX
Dallas has both match – ups with the Eagles and Giants before the midway point of the season. This is much different than in years past where most division games were back loaded in the schedule. The Cowboys beat the Giants in week 1, a game in which the Giants clearly lost letting Romo and company drive field in the final seconds.
The Cowboys are coming off a bye and will have a new starter under the center. Replacing Brandon Weeden will be veteran Matt Cassel. Cassel should be able to stretch the field. The Cowboys made the switch in part because Weeden was not throwing the ball downfield. This game is a toss up for me because I’m not sure what to expect from either team. Dallas has a new QB and the Giants were man handled by the Eagles defense. I’ll go with the home team in a close game.
