An argument could be made the Redskins are in the best shape in this division. Despite letting a game get away against the Falcons they are the healthiest team in the division. Can they capitalize? The Giants have a banged up WR core, the Cowboys having injuries at virtually every position on the field and the Eagles are hurting on the OL.
NFC East Standings
Giants 3-2 (DIV 1-1)
Cowboys 2-3 (DIV 2-0)
Redskins 2-3 (DIV 1-1)
Eagles 2-3 (DIV 0-2)
Washington at New York Jets – Metlife Stadium 1:00 FOX
The Skins’ are coming off a bad loss to Falcons. As we mentioned in the opening this is a game they should have won. They face another hard test against Todd Bowles and the NYJ. The jets are coming off a bye after pounding the Dolphins in London. Like I said last week regarding the Redskins this game will not be a blow out. I expect this to be a one score game. I don’t believe the Redskins offense can handle what the front seven of the Jets will throw at them. After this week I believe the Redskins will be sitting at 2-4. At 2-4 however they are by no means out of the division race. DeSean Jackson might be back in uniform this weekend.
Dallas – Bye
The Cowboys have Struggled recently and if your a Dallas fan reading this blog you have to agree this bye comes at a perfect time. This gives them a chance to hit the reset button and get some guys healthy. All reports I’ve seen have Brandon Weeden hitting the bench and Matt Cassel getting his first start. The Cowboys are coming off a game vs the Patriots where in all honesty they had no shot. If Dallas were healthy this arguably would have been the game of the year up to this point.
